THE TRUTH ABOUT VITAMIN D

Have you been faithfully taking vitamin D with the intention of improving your immune system and making your bones stronger? This topic is very controversial because some faithfully believe in vitamin D others have proof that vitamin D can cause more damage.

When I heard about the “benefits” of vitamin D, I was amazed, I couldn’t believe it! This is it, this will change my health for good, so I thought! I just HAD to try it!! Especially after doing blood work & my levels showing low vitamin D. My Dr confirmed it,..…your levels are too low, you need to supplement vitamin D, of course I was willing to try it— I was desperate for energy, for hope.

I supplemented vitamin D for about five years and noticed nothing! In fact not only did I not notice any benefit, but I also learned the truth about vitamin D, which left me disappointed …again! How can you replace sunshine with a steroid hormone? Yes, you read that right… a steroid hormone! When I learned what vitamin D actually does to your body, I immediately stopped taking it.

The reality is that we do need vitamin D but why not get it from the sun? Have you asked yourself why your body is not absorbing it? Maybe this is something we should focus on instead of synthetically replacing vitamin D. Why take a hormone that will only create other issues within your body? Supplementing vitamin D will increase calcium levels in your blood. Yes vitamin D helps absorb calcium from the food you eat, however it keeps it in your bloodstream, it doesn’t send it to your bones..

Some say you should take K2 with D because K2 pulls the calcium from your blood and sends it to your bones. Not true, I faithfully took K2 with my vitamin D and my calcium levels were drastically high. Not only does vitamin D raises calcium but it also depletes your potassium, lowers boron, ceruloplasmin and lowers ATP. Now you are causing a mineral imbalance in your body, which is opening another can of worms. Below is my mineral test results that confirms low levels on what I mentioned above due to vitamin D supplementation.

Focus on supporting your body so that your body can absorb the nutrients and minerals it needs. My favorite phrase is “Knowledge is Power”. You need to do your own research and decide if what you are taking is what your body needs. Everything we take, do or say affects our body and overall health.
